What does this Programme entail?

The Enlightened Thinking programme allows you to progressively let go of your stresses, worries, negativities, bad habits and difficult personality traits leaving you with healthier thought patterns and a brighter future. You will explore the workings of the mind, find out how people attain their personality, how they acquire the rules that govern their lives and how these come together to create a person’s own social behaviour patterns.

What is the philosophy?

The human mind  was designed on the savannahs of Africa. Six million years of evolutionary adaptation have created thought processes and reactions that are ideal for the life and challenges of a hunter-gatherer. Unfortunately these mechanisms do not always work as well when they are applied to the complex social patterns of the modern world with its heightened demands, expectations and desires. Locked in ancient patterns we often worry about the wrong things, push ourselves towards meaningless goals, court the wrong relationships, substitute pleasures for underlying happiness and seek out impossible dreams. The result is stress, worry, anxiety and sometimes depression and mental disease. 

What will i learn and what will i get out of it?

From this programme you will get a clear understanding of how the human mind has evolved and why it struggles with modern demands. You will clearly see how your personality has developed from the influences of your upbringing and how this colours your view of the world. You will assess the rules you live by and contemplate the real ingredients of happiness and fulfilment. The tools you will learn are drawn from many branches of psychology explained within an evolutionary framework to form a powerful process of self-analysis and personal freedom. You will not be ‘analysed’ or be subjected to group ‘confessions’.

How does it work?

There are four steps to an Enlightened Thinking programme:

Step 1: Attend our 1-day introductory workshop. This will help you to better understand how the brain evolved, showing you why changes to our modern society have led to stressful ways of thinking and living. You will also learn the relaxation and reflective techniques that will ultimately build calmness, understanding and a mastery of your own mind.

Step 2: Book a 1-hour assessment. This will allow us to take a basic life history from you and start to explain why you think and behave the way you do. We will also make an assessment of your beliefs, confidence, daily mood and current life success so we can monitor any changes as your programme progresses.

Step 3: Start a 12-week programme and attend a weekly progress class. You will be given a programme specifically designed for your needs which you will undertake as part of your everyday life. You will also attend a weekly class to check on your progress, introduce new concepts, allow you to ask questions and to receive support from your group.

Step 4: Attend a 1-hour review. At the end of the 12-week period you will meet with your tutor again to assess your progress and plan an ongoing routine to maintain your improvements and help you take the next step in improving your overall health.

How much does it cost?

Step 1: 1-day introductory workshop costs £60

Step 2: 1-hour assessment costs £60

Step 3: 12-week programme and weekly class costs £9 per week

Steps 1 and 2 can be taken in either order. You can either pay for the whole programme in one go or pay for each step as you progress through your programme. You can also choose to add extra classes and therapies at your own discretion.
